Post Anniversary Trip

K and I went to Troy, NC today to doing some hiking in the Uwharrie National Forest.  Fun time.  Great to just spend some time with my wife!

A Hockey Night in Raleeeeeeigh!

A buddy of mine and I made our annual trek to a Canes game.  Sad, it was their last home game, as they will not make the playoffs for the FOURTH year (how is JR still employed???).  But we had a good time, and enjoyed free hat night.  Tlusty with two goals...soooooo close!

Swimming? Or Boating?

So while we waited for the first class to finish at swimming lessons this week, Myra got really excited to see the younger ones on the big boat.  She asked if her class would do that.  I said no, definitely not.  Well, at the end of their class, sure enough, they all got on the boat.  Myra could not stop giggling!

Camp Seafarer, 2013

Our Y Princess tribe spent last weekend at Camp Seafarer for the Spring Outing.  Lucy and I definitely  enjoyed ourselves.  Very glad we decided to get involved this year...lots of special memories made with my Little Bug!

My Wife!

Very proud today.  K ran the Run Raleigh 1/2 and finished as the third overall woman. Amazing!

Hockey Time!

Well, so the Canes won't make the playoffs this year.  At least we can play here at home.  Myra definitely is a pretty good goalie!

Myraisms

So Myra loves a bathrobe.  Even when she's wearing a short nightgown, she will put it on.  Looks like a smoker's jacket.  Oh, and socks.  Heavy, wooly socks.

Crabtree Trail

Went on a terrific run today along the Lake Crabtree part of the Greenway.  Lots of boardwalks, up hills, under main streets, over lakes.  Good run!

Running With the Family

Happy Anniversary to Us!  12 big years.  Had a great run along the Greenway with them, a Sheetz stop, came home and cleaned up...perfect day so far!  I am very blessed to find such a compassionate, caring person to have shared the last 12 years with.

Another day, another project.  We decided we wanted Grandma's old chairs a brighter red.  We sanded them down, then applied a primer, then painted them.  Look for the finished project in the next shot.

This is Spring Break!

Yup!  Spring Break, and chores galore.  From fixing Kerry's sink, to tons of yard work, it was a quick week.  Definitely had a good time rescuing the girls and spending a day in Kerry's classroom!

Just like last year, for one afternoon of my spring break, I broke the girls out of school for an afternoon of fun.  This year we went to Frankie's.  It was raining and sleeting, so no go-karts or mini-golf, but we had LOTS of fun inside.  Here are the girls riding Kennywood's Phantom's Revenge!

It's Spring Break...So Bring On the Projects

So Spring Break started.  While I enjoy the time, I miss my girls.  Started a variety of gardening and home improvement projects.  Also had a company come by to give quotes on replacement windows.  Need to start getting better ones in.  Going in with the girls tomorrow. Will eat lunch with both of them then help Kerry in her class.  My patented adjective lesson.
