Fun Springtime Carnival

Went to the girls' spring carnival Friday night.  Pretty fun times!  Myra tried her hand at baseball, and did pretty well!

They Turn Anything into Fun

So I needed to cut a dead branch off a tree.  I walk away, and eventually, the girls turn it into a 'Christmas Tree.'  Only my girls!

PUMPKINS!!!!

Happy Birthday To Me!

Yup, a most special and awesome birthday present! My wife got me tickets to the Awolnation/Smashing Pumpkins concert.  Awesome awesome awesome!  And even better, it was at the Red Hat Ampitheatre in Downtown Raleigh.  What a fun night!

The Finish Line Awaits!

About three miles to go...just a 5K, right?  I still felt pretty good here, relative to past marathons.  While I did struggle at points coming down Liberty Avenue, I kept going, no walking, and did it!

At the Starting Line!!

Here We Go!

We are READY!

Almost start time!

A Lot More Now

Pretty much the same angle--and quite a few more people!

One of First in Corral

Corral E was not quite hoping when I entered, but it picked up quickly later on!

Downtown and Ready To Run

I made it Downtown for the start.  With actually lots of time to spare.  I enjoyed just being there in the dark, quiet.  Lots of folks around, but I had my music, my MAD magazine, my snacks, and my thoughts.  Enjoyable!

Myra and Cousin Cole

We spent A LOT of time here on the playground.  Pretty much most of Saturday and Sunday afternoon.  Myra had a good time playing with her cousin!

It's a Hockey Afternoon...

Of course my mom set us up with some new Penguins gear!

My Dad--Making Myra Work

The time honored tradition--not the kids driving the tractor, but my dad getting slave labor!  (-:

Made it To Pittsburgh

Myra and her buddy Franco at the Pgh Airport.  A smooth trip in, and now a couple days rest before Sunday's marathon.  Fun times!
