April Ends...May Begins...

Gosh, how time continues to fly. Amazing how we waited for April for Easter, trip to PA, Spring Break, and now May starts tomorrow! Lots of fun this month--my birthday, Kerry and the girls tracking out, Lucy's play next week...and I am sure lots of fun!

Strawberry Picking

Yup, that time of year again. Went over to Hunt's this morning to pick some berries. As the girls age, they are MUCH better helpers. Myra carried the bucket the whole time. Kerry, I am sure, is thrilled to see this, as we can take larger buckets next year!

The End of Spring Break...

Always a sad time, but I definitely enjoyed a couple days off, tasks getting done, and this year, spending lots of time with Myra. At four, she is already getting so big! So I enjoyed my time with her, hanging out, going to the library, and today, going to see Rio 3D (us with our glasses is the picture).

Home From PA

What a whirlwind trip that was, but lots of fun with the family. The girls LOVED playing with their cousin Cole. And now Myra and I start our Spring Break! And of course, hopefully my Pens will win tonight!

Almost Easter and Spring Break!

Yup, it has taken quite awhile, but after a four day week, we'll head up to PA for a couple days, then back down for Spring Break! With the building of our new high school ramping up, I really need a break!! I will get to keep Myra home with me a few days, then get some chores done as well...

Yeah, My Canes...

Well, my girls tried to will on the Canes to a playoff spot. Unfortunately that was too little to get them in. So we'll cheer on the Pens this year. Maybe this will spell the end of Mo, Ver 2.0 (haha...)

Flat Stanley Visits

Our niece Maeve recently sent Flat Stanley for a visit. Flat Stanley, in case you don't know, is a little boy who was sent in the mail all over the world. So we get to take him all over and then send him and the pictures back to Maeve. THis weekend we went Downtown to visit the Museums, having an enjoyable time.

Continuing S'March

Been busy, with nothing major going on, which we can definitely live with. Back to work for Kerry, Lucy, and Myra this past week, and few tears from any of them. Some car and Kia work, and both got washed this weekend, but still, not much to report on.

S'march

Five days in even. Girls go back to school on Monday, and me back to the regular job. Had the NCTIES conference for a couple days, so a nice change. Been busy with all the car stuff too. Yesterday I had the front and rear brakes changed on the Kia, so we should be good with everything. Phew. Busy times!

Busy Weekend!

But a fun one. Went to good 'ole Lake Lynn yesterday. Myra took her bike, Lucy her scooter, and we pretty much had to drag/carry them around. This after my FIVE mile run in the Vibrams! Phew! Liking them...maybe another short race in them. Speaking of racing, I am looking to do the 2013 Pittsburgh Marathon, I am thinking. Just loved that whole environment.

Today I ran, changed Kia's oil, rotated tires in Forte, vacuumed, did some shopping. And now I am exhausted. With a red face! Phew again!

Rod Brind'Amour Night

Kerry and I had a babysitter last night (Thanks, Sue), so we attended the raising of Rod Brind'Amour's #17. No more will we see Hurricanes wear that number. A GREAT ceremony and speech from Roddy. Both teams wore #17 jerseys out of respect, something I did not expect, but obviously thought cool.

Canes did a nice job winning the game for Rod and keeping in 8th place for the playoffs.

Ms. Fix Its

I Finally Come Out of the Closet...

And the Steelers disappointment me. Sucks when they have the ame in their hands and lose it themselves.

My Newest Addition

So an old friend posted on Facebook she got a neon Canes sign. I, just joking, said, you got an extra? She checked, and sure enough...I am the proud owner of a Hurricanes Neon Sign!

Swimming Lessons

Girls have started swimming lessons. They go to Optimist twice a week for a month. Myra did great so far...definitely the best in her class. Lucy is doing well too. Not ready to yet put her face in the water, but we hope she'll get there!
